First snow fall of of the season |
We are still in apple slice and pumpkin mini muffin mode here and have been spending our afternoons outside enjoying the things fall has to offer. We examined an empty bird nest, had a Jedi battle (against imaginary enemies), painted with acorns and leaves, used baby socks as mittens to protect little hands from the chilly air, and I recited the words from a poem called The Whisky Frisky Squirrel for them.
What started as rain in the morning ended with snow before bedtime. Matthew was so excited that he ran outside in his boots, “Is this practice for Christmas?” he asked.
No sooner had they backed out of the driveway did he come barreling back into the garage, “It is super duper cold out there, my hands are really cold!”
It was real snow alright!
